Underwood Christmas Letter 2009

2009 was a most eventful year for the Underwood clan. The year started off with a bang as Grant and Sheree, along with Amy and Rachel, rang in the new year on Times Square (in brutally cold weather), as the rest of the family watched on television. Summer vacation provided the occasion for a blockbuster eight-week trip to New England and the mid-Atlantic states to visit firsthand many of the places Rachel and Amy had learned about in their high school U.S. history class. From Boston to Baltimore, from Gettysburg to Williamsburg, from Niagara Falls to North Carolina’s Outer Banks, we had the time of our lives and have several thousand pictures to prove it. Grant and Sheree were also able to spend a glorious week in Montreal, Canada, in conjunction with another of Grant’s conferences. Whether strolling through old town, visiting museums, climbing Mont Royal, or savoring French haute cuisine, the trip will be remembered as one of our favorites.
