Rachel and Amy have been the captains of the Orem High swim team this year, a responsibility that entails much more than merely showing up for 5:30 am or afternoon practices and swim meets. They also served as counselor and president, respectively, of the 16-18 yr old girls group in their local congregation. While doing all this they maintained a 4.0 GPA and have qualified for a Utah Regents Scholarship to help pay their way at BYU, where they will be enrolled next fall. All these activities and accomplishments are a reflection of inner qualities that are truly impressive. Everyone in the family (and all who know them well) loves them and sees them as extraordinary young women. A high point for them (and for Sheree and Grant) this year was being able to return to Hawaii where they spent the first eight years of their lives. They re-visited all the old family haunts, from Laie Beach and Hanauma Bay to Diamond Head and Waikiki. A wonderful walk down memory lane!
